About the Course

CMA Foundation is the entry-level exam for the Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) course, conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI). It introduces students to the basics of accounting, management, and business principles.

Subjects of Study

The CMA Foundation syllabus consists of four papers:

  1. Fundamentals of Business Laws and Business Communication
  2. Fundamentals of Financial and Cost Accounting
  3. Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics
  4. Fundamentals of Business Economics and Management

Eligibility

  • Must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) from any recognized board
  • Students can register provisionally after appearing for Class 12 exams

Registration Fees

₹6,000 (Payable directly to ICMAI)

Cutoff Date for Registration

Four months prior to month of foundation examinations to be held in the month of June / December

  • Typically, 4 months of structured coaching
    • Includes:

      • Case law and scenario-based learning
      • Regular assessments and mock tests
      • Emphasis on practical application and exam strategy
